Mario Manso (Logroño, 2004) lives and works in Madrid. He is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice focuses on researching processes of material transformation in relation to the body and space, exploring the tensions between the physical and the installative.
He graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (2022–2026) and has complemented his education at institutions such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Museo CA2M, La Casa Encendida, and the Museo Nacional del Prado, as well as in disciplines including contemporary dance, physical theatre, and writing.
His work has been presented in solo exhibitions such as Please, Body, Disappear (Museo de Mojácar, 2025), Faros para agua (Sala Esdir, Logroño, 2024), and Tal por tal (Galería GE53, Valencia, 2024). He has participated in group exhibitions at venues including CentroCentro (Madrid), Galería Neboa (Lugo), SWAB Art Fair Barcelona, the 39th Muestra de Arte Joven in La Rioja, Galería Juan Silió (Madrid), Espiral–Pluto (Valencia), Sala La Trasera at the Faculty of Fine Arts (Madrid), Art on the Road (Regional Government of Castilla y León), the 35th Benidorm Competition for Emerging Creators, Fase C at La Gota de Leche (Logroño), Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque (Madrid), and the Arte y Acción Arte Aparte Fair (Cáceres).
He has undertaken artistic residencies at institutions such as the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (Tekeando +UNIA, Seville), Condeduque (Cuerpo de baile, Madrid), and Alraso (University of Granada), consolidating a line of research focused on the body as a device for change and perception.
Among his recognitions are First Prize at the Castilla y León Young Art Awards (2024), the Inicia Grant and the Fase C Award from La Gota de Leche (Logroño), as well as the Professionalization Project Grant from the Government of La Rioja.
